What a fun first week of school! We've been having fun getting to know one another, learning about our classroom and school routines, and reading some fun back to school stories! Next week we will begin our Alphabet Adventure week!

We are so excited to work with your child! Kindergarten is a time of new beginnings, making friends, and learning new things each and every day. Our days and weeks will be filled with many wonderful experiences and opportunities for learning and growing.We will learn all about letters and sounds, and we will be writing about all of our great experiences both in and out of our classroom. We will also be learning all about numbers, building on important math concepts including sorting, counting, graphing, classifying, patterns, time and money, measurement, and addition and subtraction. The children are always proud of the work they create and are anxious to share their new skills.

It is important to establish a positive parent-teacher relationship so that you are aware of what we are doing at school so that together we can provide your child with a positive school experience. Throughout the year, we will communicate with you through notes in your child's take-home folder, telephone calls, monthly newsletters, quarterly reports, and parent-teacher conferences. We also have this classroom blog where you will be able to access up-to-date details about the curriculum, school schedules, important dates, and class/school events.
